I love the Shuk--in fact, I took my parents there when they came to visit a month or so ago. Try going a few hours before Shabbat comes around, it's a crazy place. Also, there's a great stand on the main food drag, next to a fish stand that has challah baked in honey...and only 4 shkalim per loaf. Amazing stuff.
